In this position, tasked with responsibility for providing project management, engineering and information security (INFOSEC).  Assure that approval for Certification and Accreditation (CA) within Systems/Networks Approval Process (SNAP)/GIG Interconnection Approval Process (GIA) has been obtained via Authority to Connect (ATC), Interim Authority to Connect (IATC), Authority to Operate (ATO) or Interim Authority to Operate (IATO).   Hold responsibility for developing Multi-Service Provisioning Platform (MSPP) trunk lines, Internet Protocol (IP) Intra-Routing Trunks (IRT) and Service Delivery Nodes (SDN) for Defense Information Systems Network (DISN) backbone. Oversee requirements for installation of NIPR/SIPR circuits, from initial DISA Direct Order Entry (DDOE) through development of Telecommunications Service Order (TSO) to assuring final approval status as operational.

 

Analyze various network protocols/systems and develop firewalls, Access Control Lists (ACLs), Demilitarization Zones (DMZs), Intrusion Detection Systems (IDSs) and Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPSs) in support of setting strong boundaries for defense of information system perimeters.  Provide in-depth analysis, development and maintenance of security programs and policies/procedures in support of maintaining integrity and availability of data, systems and networks.  Continually assess all threats to security, providing reports of findings as well as recommendations for and implementation of resolution actions.
