As demonstrated in the accompanying resume, I have been actively involved in K-9 Handling and Training since 1993, from launching my career with the U.S. Navy through my current position as a Supervisor with and Member of the National Explosive Detection Canine Team Program (NEDCTP) supporting Transportation Security Administration (TSA) operations.  I am currently in charge of training, coordinating and overseeing 6 K-9/Handler teams providing comprehensive security throughout Honolulu International Airport.  With over 15 years background in Handler, Trainer and Supervisor capacities, I offer you broad-scope knowledge of explosives detection operations, from initial and ongoing proficiency training of both Canines and Handlers, team coordination and program/project management through budgeting, joint missions with broad-range Local and Federal agencies, decisive leadership, and public relations.  I excel in defining and implementing targeted strategies for boosting productivity, efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness of operations and maximizing use of resources, have successfully authored Standard Operating Procedures/Manuals instrumental to enhancing performance and have continually taken on the role of liaison in interfacing with key stakeholders.  I have also concurrently served in wide-range concurrent capacities including Explosives and Narcotics Training Aid/Property Custodian, Kennel Supervisor/Master, Emergency Vehicle Operator Course Instructor, Supply Custodian, and Scheduling Coordinator, among others, illustrating my adaptability, versatility and extensive expertise.  Complementing this, I have completed comprehensive ongoing training and certifications in K-9 Handling, Explosives and Narcotics Detection and related areas of my field.
