   Provide leadership and oversight for offshore and onshore subsea operations for this international company handling offshore ROV, diving and survey operations; recruit, train and mentor staff, oversee operations budget, and negotiate all equipment purchasing, vendor relations and cost containment strategies.

   Leverage strong leadership and planning skills to monitor and administer maintenance schedules, ensure compliance with all safety requirements, and serve as Emergency Response Team Leader and Export Compliance Officer.

 

2008 to 2009:  Dubai, UAE  - General Manager of Operations / Vessels / Remotely-Operated Vehicle (ROV) Operations

   Provided guidance and leadership for day to day offshore and onshore operations; communicated progress reports to CEO, monitored staff performance, and utilized strong fiscal management skills to monitor budget and negotiate beneficial pricing schedules for required equipment and services.

   Instrumental in leading 12+ offshore team of supervisors and crew in achieving project objectives in the Gulf of Mexico; directed activities of Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) Pilot Technicians, managed training requirements, and provided 24/7 on call monitoring support.

   Utilized experience in electronics, hydraulics, ROV piloting/vehicle geometry and systems, spatial awareness, ROV navigation, and record/data logging to effectively train staff; realized substantial cost savings through new system training.

   Provided full cycle project management leadership; defined scope, authored post follow up reports, administered budget,

   Developed comprehensive procedures regarding diver support and project intervention including pipe lay, offshore construction, subsea salvage and accident investigation.

 

1991 to 2000:  Royal Australian Navy, Australia - Submariner

   Integral member of a worldwide naval military force providing vessel support, services, and tracking throughout Australia and surrounding regions; tasked with building new submarine trails team, and leading equipment integration.

   Contributed toward safety and hazardous management, marine technical propulsion in material handling, fabrication, engineering interpretation, mechanical fitting, hydraulic system maintenance and ship preservation.

   Gained experience in maintenance administration, submarine specialization in hydraulic systems and main/trim water pumps, life support systems and ship construction.
